Grocery Delivery Service:
During these uncertain times of COVID-19, people are unable to do everyday tasks, such as going to the grocery store, without being at risk for Coronavirus. For this reason, we have begun our first volunteer project: grocery deliver. Volunteers at HYPE will deliver medicines, groceries, and other necessities to those who are most vulnerable to COVID-19, with no delivery fee. This includes the elderly, disabled, and other people who have certain conditions that can put them at more of a risk of COVID-19. We will deliver the items while wearing masks, gloves, and throughly following the CDC guidelines.
These chaotic times have created unprecedented circumstances that require as much help as possible. Our nation's medical supply chains are being stretched thin and our emergency response procedure is being put to the test. We want to step up as volunteers and shoulder some of the responsibilities to help out the medical professionals and elected officials. While we handle the mundane tasks, our representatives can handle the larger tasks.
Our Protocol:
All of our volunteers will follow certain guidelines to ensure that we can minimize the spread and transmission of COVID-19 to our recipients:
All our volunteers will wear masks and gloves while in the grocery store and will restrain from touching any unnecessary things in the store. They will stay six feet apart from other people and will not touch their faces or eyes while in the store. Volunteers will also be following the CDC guidelines of washing his/her hands every 15 minutes, sneezing in his/her elbow, and other precautionary measures t0 limit the spread of COVID-19. Delivery System:
- Has been practicing social distancing and stays six feet apart from other people when in contact
- Has not come in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 for 14 days
- Is not showing any signs of sickness such as sore throat, coughing, etc
- Is wearing protective equipment to limit any possible transmission of the virus

Step 1: Fill out the Delivery Request Form and we will email if we are able and when we will deliver your items
Step2: A HYPE volunteer will call you to confirm the items that you want to be purchased/picked up and will also tell you at the time they will deliver the items
Step 3: A HYPE volunteer will deliver your items to your house by leaving the items outside the door. They will ring the doorbell and message you via text that they had delivered the items
**Note: Items will be delivered as soon as possible but as a volunteer service our resources are limited. We take no liability in theft, late deliveries, and incorrect orders. By filling out the Request Form, you understand that we are not responsible for an ineffective handling.
