Founders of HYPE:
Jason Eappen - Co-President |
Hello, my name is Jason Eappen and I am currently a junior that attends Lambert High School. I have seen the personally seen the effects of poverty. But poverty isn't just being poor financially. Being deprived of basic human needs like education, food, and a balanced mind is just as harmful. As a founding member of HYPE, I want to strive to ensure people in my community and around the world don't have to worry about where their next meal is going to come from. Through HYPE I hope to bring new innovative ideas to help kids all over the world. |
Sahil Sood - Co-President |
Hi, my name is Sahil Sood. As a Junior at Lambert High school, I have witnessed first-hand how impoverished youth are supported through programs such as discounted lunches and food can drives Yet this is not enough to help give them the same opportunities that other children are given. As a founder of Helping Youth in Poverty Everywhere I am able to turn my ideas of helping poverty-stricken youth into reality. In my free time, I enjoy doing track. |
Richard Jiang - Co-PresidentExecutive Leadership Team:Omkar Tamhane |
Hey everyone, my name is Richard Jiang, and I am one of the cofounders of HYPE. Prior to joining this non-profit, I, along with of my peers, including Sahil Sood, worked together on a Communities Against COVID which is a non-profit dedicated to help healthcare workers during the pandemic. Later on, when HYPE reached out to me, I recognized the necessity of a program like this to help those less fortunate, and joined immediately. Through my past experience in Communities Against COVID and other work, I am able to expand the volunteer work done and advance HYPE even more in order to help all youth afflicted by hardship and poverty. |
Hi Everyone! I’m Omkar Tamhane and I am a Junior at Lambert High School. I am excited to be a part of HYPE and the plethora of opportunities it offers by especially working with the Healthcare, Youth, and Environment Pillars.

Rohan Kansal
|
Hi, my name is Rohan Kansal and I am a junior at Lambert High School. As an underclassman with little experience or knowledge, I had very few avenues to give back to my community. With HYPE, I have been able to take my past experiences of service and leadership to have a bigger impact in the community and provide those avenues to my peers. Through HYPE, I can directly address the issue of inequality by giving resources and aid to those who need it. Outside of this, I enjoy watching One Piece and playing the clarinet
